The Broadway at Birdland concert series is set to present "Cautiously Optimistic: The Songs of Scott Evan Davis,' on Monday, October 31 at 7pm. Singer Liz Callaway has been added to the cast of talented theater performers.

"Cautiously Optimistic" is an evening of songs by composer/lyricist Scott Evan Davis. His songs explore relationships of all different kinds...the good and the bad. The show will feature performances by Liz Callaway, Julie Reyburn, Natalie Douglas, Kate Shindle, Ellyn Marie Marsh, Joshua Dixon, Stephanie Gibson Chase, William Blake, Nicole Johndrow, Carly Jibson and others. The show will be hosted by the composer, who will explain how his songwriting resulted from a dream. David Snyder is arranger and pianist for the evening.

Scott Evan Davis attended Emerson College for Musical Theatre, as well as the American Musical and Dramatic Academy. As a performer, he was in the off-Broadway production of Joy at the Actors Playhouse, played Will in The Will Rogers Follies, Miles in Tuck Everlasting and performed his one-man show "Both Sides Now" at Don't Tell Mama. An album of his original work will be released in December, featuring Liz Callaway, Jason Graae, Faith Prince, Julie Reyburn, Nikki Renee, Daniel Reichard, Lisa Howard and others. He is currently working on two musicals; Glitz, which pokes fun at children's pageantry, and Picture Perfect, based on his songs.
