Lisa Howard Performs a Concert of Inspiration, March 6

Lisa Howard, who plays Rona Lisa Peretti in Broadway's hit musical comedy The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, will make her cabaret debut at Ars Nova (511 W. 54th St.) in Inspiration, a show featuring the songs and artists that have inspired her along the way. Presented as part of Ars Nova's Broadway Spotlight Series, Inspiration will be performed for one night only: Monday, March 6 at 8 PM

Inspiration will feature an eclectic mix of songs, from the Indigo Girls to William Finn to Dolly Parton. Carmel Dean is the show's music director and will accompany Lisa on piano. Justin Lee will play bass, Jay Mack will be the percussionist, Scott Murphy will be on guitar and Nathan Christiansen will play violin. Betsy Werbel, Karen Shriner and Spelling Bee co-star Derrick Baskin will also provide vocals.

Howard, who makes her Broadway debut with Spelling Bee, has been seen in the national tour of Les Miserables as well as in regional productions of Crazy For You, Cinderella, Das Barbecu, And The World Goes Round and Falsettos, and off-Broadway in Silence! The Musical.
