Irving Plaza hosts Friends for Theresa Fundraiser May 23rd Cyndi Lauper, Natalie Merchant, Sandra Bernhard, Georgia Satellites, among others to perform benefit for Music Industry Veteran's family

Irving Plaza in New York City will play host to a benefit to raise money for the family of Theresa Brilli Wilson, Confirmed to perform: Cyndi Lauper, Natalie Merchant , Sandra Bernhard, Nellie McKay, Steve Forbert, Dan Baird of The Georgia Satellites, and Chris Whitley.

After a long and valiant battle with cancer, Theresa Brilli (Wilson) died on March 20, 2005 in Queens, New York.

Theresa's career began in 1981 as Director of International Marketing at Elektra Records (1981-1988), she was Vice President of Marketing at Sony Music International (1989-1993), managed CC Music Factory (1994-1997), worked in A&R administration for Universal Music (1998-1999), and Arista (1999-2003). In every one of these positions, Theresa's colleagues and clients remember with fondness her creativity and dedication, her great personal warmth and wonderful sense of humor.

Theresa Brilli leaves behind her loving husband, Tony, and her adored five year-old son Nicholas—as well as huge medical bills. The Friends of Theresa have come together in an effort to pay down these bills and to establish a trust fund for Nicholas Wilson.
