'NIGHT, MOTHER, the Pulitzer Prize-winning play by Marsha Norman, directed by Michael Mayer, and starring Edie Falco and Brenda Blethyn will play its final performance at the Royale Theatre on Sunday, January 9th at 3pm. The production will have played 26 previews and 91 regular performances.

'NIGHT, MOTHER opened on Sunday, November 14th at the Royale Theatre (242 West 45th Street between Broadway and 8th Avenue). It began previews on Friday, October 22nd.

'NIGHT, MOTHER is produced by FOX Theatricals, Harbor Entertainment, East of Doheny, The Araca Group, Terry E. Schnuck, Amanda Dubois, Ruth Hendel, Hal Goldberg and Wiesenfeld/Meyer.

'NIGHT, MOTHER is a play about a complicated relationship between a mother (Thelma Cates played by Brenda Blethyn) and daughter (Jessie Cates played by Edie Falco). Jessie is faced with the perception that her life no longer has significant meaning and informs her mother, whom she lives with, that she has come to a critical moment of decision.

Marsha Norman's 'NIGHT, MOTHER won the Pulitzer Prize for Drama (1983). The production played over a year at the John Golden Theatre and was nominated for four Tony® Awards including Best Play. In 1986, Universal/MCA made 'NIGHT, MOTHER into a major motion picture.

'NIGHT. MOTHER's creative staff includes Neil Patel (Set Design), Michael Krass (Costume Design), Brian MacDevitt and (Lighting Design).

Through January 9, 'NIGHT, MOTHER's playing schedule will be Tuesday - Saturday at 8pm, Wednesday and Saturday at 2pm, and Sunday at 3pm with the following exceptions:

Friday, December 24th - 2pm ONLY
Friday, December 31st - 2pm ONLY
Saturday, December 25th - 8pm ONLY
Saturday, January 1st - 8pm ONLY
Sunday, December 26th - 3pm AND 8pm
Sunday, January 2nd - 3pm AND 8pm
