Las Vegas Comedian, Don Barnhart's Book, Finding Your Funny Nominated For Global Award

"FINDING YOUR FUNNY", written by Las Vegas resident comedian, Don Barnhart, has been nominated for a 2018 Author Academy Award, an honor bestowed for literary merit and publishing excellence in the writing and publishing industry.

Don Barnhart's book is up for an award in the Education/Self-Help category, which explains the insider's guide to the business, art and science of the standup comedy industry and he knows his stuff. Barnhart stars in his own show at Jokesters Comedy Club inside The D Casino Hotel in Las Vegas, NV.

"Hundreds of books from authors throughout the world are up for an Author Academy Award," said Kary Oberbrunner, founder of Author Academy Elite and the Author Academy Awards. Authors of all kinds-indie (self-published), traditional, or collaborative published-are being considered for the award in one of sixteen categories. Entries are being reviewed and evaluated on popular vote, social contribution, and overall presentation (cover, content, flow, and originality) by the Academy's voting membership comprised ofbest-selling authors, literary agents and industry leaders.

Since 1992, Don Barnhart has been entertaining the troops around the world and continues to do so to this day taking time out of his own show in Las Vegas. Barnhart is one of the stars of the documentary I Am Battle Comic showing the importance of entertaining the troops in a war zone. His comedy has been called, "A thrill ride of well-written, topical material exploring modern day society in a way that is hysterical, intelligent and thought provoking. Don's ability to keep audiences of all ages howling with laughter and coming back for more is what separates him from the average joke teller".

Barnhart can be seen in the new standup show, Jokesters TV and stars in the documentary, Finding The Funny with Brad Garret and Louie Anderson. In his off time Don teaches stand up, improv and comedy writing at The Las Vegas Comedy Institute.
