Gear up for Valentine's day with fantastic readings by smart, sexy authors Heather Kristin and Lauren Grodstein. On Tuesday, February 8th at 6:30 pm during happy hour in the Libertine Library at Gild Hall (15 Gold Street at Platt in Lower Manhattan) Kristin & Grodstein share the stage to read from their latest works and discuss the balance of love, family, creativity and career. Kristin's work will appear this year in a Simon and Schuster anthology, LOVE AND LET LIVE. Grodstein, the author of the acclaimed novel, A FRIEND OF THE FAMILY, wrote this dark tale of family betrayal while caring for little ones at home.

Pen Parentis, the sponsor of this open arts event, is a professional organization for authors who are also parents. After the readings, Kristin and Grodstein will sign books and answer questions.

The Pen Parentis Literary Salons are a free monthly event, open to the public. The Libertine offers a full top shelf bar and small plates at happy hour prices. Borders will have books on hand for signings.
