Knights on Earth's debut record, "Move Slow, Life Ends" has influences ranging from the soul and country records of the sixties and seventies, to the volatile ambient music made today and recent yesterdays. The particular set of influences is representative of the particular individuals in the band. This is music made by these four specific humans and contains their power and vulnerability. Given life through there mutual love and respect, this album was birthed while shuffling through the hustle, fighting to be alive, but focused on creating a threaded expression with staying strength. This is sincere music, made with limbs controlling signal generators interfering with what could be the monotony of our time awake. This album is a humble testament to love and hope in our times.

Knights on Earth are: Grey Mcmurray: Guitar, Vocals; Mike Williams: Bass, Trumpet, Vocals; Mike Chiavaro: Bass, Vocals; Gunnar Olsen: Drums, Vocals.

The members of Knights on Earth have performed or recorded with a wide array of renowned musicians, including Phil Ramone, Gil Scott-Heron, Spoon, Chromeo, Elvis Perkins, Brazilian Girls, Charlie Hunter, Antibalas, Matmos, and Earl Greyhound among others. They started plaing together at the beginning of 2008. Through a monthly residency at Rockwood Music Hall in Manhattan, the musicians quickly came to care deeply for and believe in the band. Each member of the band has toured all of the world in different projects. Marvin Gaye, The Band, Arvo Part, Gillian Welch, Willie Nelson, MiLes Davis, David Bazan, Habib Koite, Stevie Wonder, Tom Petty, Sigur Ros among many others influence this music. The members of Knights on Earth believe they have the same traveling destiny. The band spent much of 2009 working on this record, in the hope that it will aid their sonic presence in the world and help them play to ears far from home.
