Knightley May Re-Team with Hampton for National Theatre Production

According to an article in the Telegraph, Keira Knightley may return to the stage in London. The actress received critical acclaim for her performance in THE MISANTHROPE earlier this year, and is currently being sought after by Christopher Hampton. The writer of 'Atonement' and 'A Dangerous Method,' Knightley's latest film, Hampton and Knightley are frequent collaborators. He hopes to feature her in his new play at the National.

"I think Keira is magnificent on stage," Hampton said. "I would love to have her involved."

Knightley began her career with the films, 'Bend It Like Beckham' and 'Pirates of the Caribbean' - which made her a Hollywood star. In 2005, she was nominated for an Academy Award and a Golden Globe for Best Actress for her role in the Jane Austen adaptation, 'Pride and Prejudice.' In 2007, she was nominated for a Golden Globe and a BAFTA Award for her performance in Hampton's 'Atonement.'
