Kevin Kline Set to Star in Upcoming HBO Project

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Oscar-winner and Broadway vet Kevin Kline will be making his television series debut in an upcoming hourlong HBO series written by Proof writer David Alburn.

THR reports that the show is about a "prominent doctor (Kline) who must restart his life after serving a 15-year prison sentence for murdering his mistress."

The Hollywood Reporter states that the show will be excutive produced by Gavin Polone and Kline's manager Judy Hofflund. Polone told THR, "It is hard to believe that I'm working with David Auburn and Kevin Kline on a project" and that "[he feels] like [he] died and [has] been reincarnated as Scott Rudin."

Multi-award winning stage and screen actor Kevin Kline returned to the Broadway stage in CRYANO DE BERGERAC after starring in multiple productions for The Public Theater (King Lear, Mother Courage, The Seagull, Richard III, Much Ado..., Hamlet),  Lincoln Center Theater and Circle in the Square Theater (Arms and the Man, Loose Ends). The Pirates of Penzance (LTC) and won the 2004 Drama Desk Award and a Tony Nomination for Henry IV (LTC).  This is his first appearance in a commercial Broadway production in 28 years, his last being On the Twentieth Century. He has also starred in a range of films including A Fish Called Wanda, for which he won the Academy Award, DeLovely, In & Out, The Ice Storm, The Pirates of Penzance, Dave and Sophie's Choice, his film debut.
