Keith Chambers Named Conductor for OperaOn75's Inaugural LA BOHÈME
Puccini's LA BOHÈME will be performed at Church Street Auditorium in McKinney, Texas.
OperaOn75 has announced that acclaimed conductor Keith Chambers will lead the musicians for the company's upcoming production of Puccini's La Bohème this fall.
Mr. Chambers has conducted over 200 performances of almost 60 operas with companies including The Dallas Opera, Indianapolis Opera, Shreveport Opera, Amarillo Opera, Asheville Lyric Opera, Opera Ithaca, and New Amsterdam Opera, where he serves as Founder, Artistic Director, and Principal Conductor. He currently serves as Music Director of the Moores Opera Center at the University of Houston, and joined the staff of Houston Grand Opera this year.
A conductor with extensive experience in the operatic repertoire, Chambers has previously conducted La Bohème for Shreveport Opera, Florida State University, and productions in St. Petersburg.
OperaOn75 leadership says Chambers' artistry, professionalism, and reputation make him an ideal collaborator for the company's inaugural full-scale production.
"Keith brings an extraordinary depth of experience and musicianship to this project," said Brianna Clancy, Co-Founder and Treasurer of OperaOn75. "His commitment to storytelling, singers, and musical excellence aligns perfectly with the kind of company we are building in North Texas."
In addition to conducting nationally and internationally, Chambers has served as Assistant Conductor for New York City Opera, The Dallas Opera, Seattle Opera, and Toledo Opera.
OperaOn75's La Bohème will be presented November 20th and 21st at the Church Street Auditorium in McKinney, Texas. Additional casting and production announcements will be released in the coming months.
