The "Monday Nights, New Voices" series at the Laurie Beechman, which showcases up-and-coming talent, will continue August 21st.

The 9:30 PM performance will be hosted by Jenn Colella, the Urban Cowboy star who will soon be back on Broadway in the new musical High Fidelity. The evening's special composer will be announced shortly.

Performers for the one-night-only event include new voices Emily Mitchell, Allison Ford, Mary Anne Piccolo, Joseph Hutcheson, and Alan Shaw.  Courtney Wagner and Scott Alan, will co-produce the evening.  The musical director is Barbara Anselmi.

Colella, who will co-star in the upcoming production of High Fidelity, recently appeared Off-Broadway in Slut, the Musical and has been involved in workshops of The Great American Trailer Park Musical, Ring of Fire, as well as the San Francisco production of The Times They Are A-Changin'. The actress was nominated for an Outer Critic's Circle Award for the role of Sissy in the Broadway production of Urban Cowboy.

The Laurie Beechman Theatre is located in Manhattan at the West Bank Café at 407 W. 42nd St just west of 9th Avenue. There is a $10 cover charge and a $15 food/drink minimum. Call (212) 695-6909 between noon and 8PM for reservations. There are no age requirements. All MNNV Alumni get in free.
