Hugo Boss announced Jason Wu as artistic director of Boss Womenswear effective June 15. Wu will be in charge of the creative direction of all product lines and "image relevant" aspects of the Boss Womenswear collections, including accessories.

Wu will work with the design team at their headquarters in Metzingen as well as opening a Boss design studio in New York. Wu will also continue to design his own ready-to-wear and accessories collections.

"With the state-of-the-art facilities that are unique to the Hugo Boss design labs, I plan to develop a strong, feminine womenswear collection that reciprocates the brand's authority in menswear," Wu stated.

Boss CEO Claus Dietrich Lahrs added, "This will generate a powerful and creative statement for Boss Womenswear and show our commitment to focus even more on the female side of the brand."
