To mark the release of his new album, Wearing Someone Else's Clothes, Jason Robert Brown and a host of his Broadway muses will perform at Le Jazz au Bar (41 East 58th Street) at 8 PM on Monday, June 27th, Wednesday, June 29th, Friday, July 1st, Saturday, July 2nd and Sunday, July 3rd. In addition, the versatile composer/lyricist will star in a solo concert at the Barter Theatre with Jenn Colella in Abingdon, VA on July 12 at 7:30 pm.

Jessica Molaskey (Songs for a New World, Parade), Lauren Kennedy (American premiere of The Last Five Years, Sunset Boulevard), Colella (Urban Cowboy, Slut) and Andrea Burns (Songs for a New World, The Full Monty) will all lend their vocal talents to the Le Jazz Au Bar concerts, which will also feature Brown's band the Caucasian Rhythm Kings and different guest stars each night who will offer swinging interpretations from the Jason Robert Brown songbook. Brown will also autograph CDs after the show. The Virginia concert with Colella will be timed to coincide with the Barter Theatre's production of The Last Five Years, and will also feature songs from the new CD as well as from Brown's shows.

Brown's The Last 5 Years, which was cited as one of Time Magazine's "10 Best of 2001," won Drama Desk Awards for Best Music and Best Lyrics. Brown won a 1999 Tony Award for his score to Parade, a musical written with Alfred Uhry and directed by Harold Prince, which premiered at Lincoln Center Theatre in December 1998, subsequently winning both the Drama Desk and New York Drama Critics' Circle Awards for Best New Musical. Parade was also presented on a National Tour in 2000, which Brown conducted. Songs for a New World opened Off-Broadway at the WPA Theatre in the fall of 1995, and has since been seen in more than two hundred productions around the world. Brown provided the orchestrations and contributed songs to Urban Cowboy, as well as handling the arrangements and musical direction. 13 and Honeymoon in Vegas are his other musicals-in-progress.
