Ambassador Theatre Group (ATG) announced today that it has partnered with acclaimed Director, Jamie Lloyd, to form Jamie Lloyd Productions.

Jamie Lloyd will create bespoke pieces of theatrical work for London, the UK regions and North America, Australia and other territories. Productions of new writing, modern classics and musicals will all be presented by the new company.

Jamie is a former Associate Director at the Donmar Warehouse and Associate Artist at Headlong. He is currently in rehearsal directing Douglas Hodge in Cyrano de Bergerac (Roundabout Theatre, New York). Recent productions include The Duchess of Malfi (Old Vic), She Stoops to Conquer (National), The School for Scandal (Theatre Royal Bath), Inadmissible Evidence (Donmar Warehouse), The Faith Machine (Royal Court), Harold Pinter’s The Lover & The Collection (Pinter, formerly Comedy Theatre), Three Days of Rain (Apollo) and The Pride (Royal Court, winner of the Olivier Award for Outstanding Achievement in an Affiliate Theatre). His musical credits include The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee (Donmar), Passion (Donmar, winner of the Evening Standard Award for Best Musical) and Piaf (Donmar, Vaudeville, Buenos Aires and Madrid).

“Jamie Lloyd Productions heralds another exciting development in the expansion of our Production activity. Jamie is a visionary director, who actors love working with and we look forward to his commissioning and directing new projects soon,” said Howard Panter, ATG’s Joint CEO & Creative Director.

Lloyd said, “I am delighted to be working with Howard and everyone at ATG. I'm looking forward to developing an eclectic range of work including new commissions made-to-measure for the West End.”

Jamie Lloyd Productions is the latest major production initiative from ATG following announcements earlier in the year about Jerry Mitchell Productions, Tali Pelman Productions and Theatre Royal Brighton Productions.

Co-founded by Howard Panter and Rosemary Squire in 1992, the Ambassador Theatre Group Ltd (ATG) is the largest owner/operator of theatres in the UK with 39 venues, an internationally recognised theatre producer and a leader in theatre ticketing services through ATG Tickets.
