In tribute to the late actress/activist Ruby Dee, who died today (6/12), CUNY TV will present encores of two vintage interviews:

The "Theater Talk" series will present an encore interview from 2002 featuring Ms. Dee, her late husband Ossie Davis, and producer Philip Rose, the original producer of "A Raisin in the Sun." Taped shortly after the publication of the late Mr. Rose's memoir, "You Can't Do That on Broadway," the trio discusses working together to bring Lorraine Hansberry's class work to the stage.

The encore of "Theater Talk" will be presented on CUNY TV instead of the regularly-scheduled edition of "Day at Night" -- Friday, June 13 at 9:30am, 2:30pm, and 7:30pm; and Monday, June 16 at 1:15am.

In addition, "African American Legends" will present an interview with Ms. Dee and Mr. Davis taped in March 1996, in which they talk about changes that have occurred in show business for African Americans during their long tenures in theater, film and television.

The "African American Legends" interview will air beginning Monday, June 16 at 8:30am, 2:30pm, and 8:30pm; and Saturday, June 21 at 6 pm.

CUNY TV, the City University of New York Television station, is broadcast in the New York metropolitan area over-the-air on digital Ch. 25.3 and cablecast in the five boroughs of New York City on Ch. 75 (Time Warner Cable and Optimum/Cablevision Brooklyn), Ch. 77 (RCN Cable) and Ch. 30 (Verizon FiOS).
