Online sketch comedian Imogen Andrews will make her debut at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe this summer with THE UNLIKEABLE WORMS. The show will run at Pleasance Dome’s Ace Dome venue nightly at 9:30 p.m. from August 5-31, with previews on August 5 and 6 and no performance on August 17.

Andrews has built a large online following through her character and sketch comedy videos, amassing more than 500,000 followers and over 300 million views across social media platforms. The Fringe production will combine character comedy, sketches, songs, multimedia elements, and audience interaction.

According to the show description, THE UNLIKEABLE WORMS explores “surreal, try-hard and charmless” characters attempting to connect with audiences beyond the short-form online format. The performance will also incorporate 3D glasses as part of the multimedia presentation.

On making her Fringe debut, Andrews said: “I'm so thrilled to be performing at the Fringe for the first time. Having built my work on social media it's a gorgeous opportunity to share a bit more of myself, and let my unlikeable little characters breathe properly beyond the 60-second format.”

Andrews trained in Writing and Producing Comedy at the National Film and Television School and studied stand-up at The Comedy Store. Her writing credits include The Skewer on BBC Radio 4 and The Secret Life of Objects. She was also nominated earlier this year for the Social Media Award at the Chortle Awards for her collaborative sketch work with comedian Al Nash.

The production is presented by Mick Perrin Worldwide in association with United Agents.
