As part of Independent Curators International's Curator's Perspective-an itinerant public discussion series featuring national and international curators-Joselina Cruz will speak about her recent curatorial projects, as well as the contemporary art scene in Manila.

In her role as Director and Curator at the Museum of Contemporary Art and Design (MCAD) in Manila, Cruz will discuss her current exhibitions and the larger context of the art scene in Manila. MCAD is the only space in the Philippines that functions as an international contemporary art museum or kunsthalle. It recently opened to the public and has featured acclaimed exhibitions, such as Paul Pfeiffer: Vitruvian Figure (2015) and The Surface of The World: Architecture and The Moving Image (2014), which showcased new work by Filipino and international artists including Tacita Dean, John Gerard, Isaac Julien, and Apichatpong Weerasethakul, among others.

Please RSVP to rsvp@curatorsintl.org with JOSELINA in the subject line.
