Chester Gregory (composer/vocals) is currently playing "Seaweed" in Broadway's 8-time Tony award-winning musical Hairspray. Previously, Gregory played "Jackie Wilson" in The Jackie Wilson Story (Black Ensemble Theatre, Chicago & U.S. tour). Gregory debuted at the Chicago Theatre Company as "Isaac" in a play about The Fisk Jubilee Singers titled Train Is Comin' (Black Theatre Alliance Award, Best Actor nom.). He appeared in numerous Black Ensemble Theatre Productions including Doo Wop Shoo Bop, The Otis Redding Story, and Chicago's Golden Soul. Other credits include: Drowning Crow (Goodman Theatre) and Scapin (Court Theatre). Gregory has performed for esteemed artists such as Stevie Wonder, Danny Glover, Stephanie Mills, Al Gore, Ossie Davis, Ruby Dee and Michael Jackson and has recorded original music on his debut album, "Morning Starr."Videos
