Today Keen Artistic Director Jonathan Silverstein announced that George Salazar, seen on Broadway in Godspell and off-Broadway in Here Lies Love, will complete the cast of Jonathan Larson's Tick, Tick...BOOM!

George Salazar joins the previously announced Nick Blaemire and Ciara Renée in this thrilling work by the late, great Jonathan Larson. Tick, Tick...BOOM! has book, music and lyrics by Jonathan Larson; David Auburn serves as Script Consultant; Joey Chancey will be Musical Director; Jonathan Silverstein directs, with choreography by Christine O'Grady.

Before Rent, there was Tick, Tick... BOOM! This autobiographical musical, by the Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award-winning Jonathan Larson, is the story of an aspiring composer questioning his life choices on the eve of his thirtieth birthday. His girlfriend wants to get married and move out of the city, his best friend is making big bucks on Madison Avenue, but Jon is still waiting on tables and trying to write the great American musical. This exhilarating, funny, and moving work by the late Larson will speak to anyone who's ever gotten lost on their way to finding their dreams. "Larson's songs thrum with the intense feeling, larky humor, and musical vitality that are the hallmark of enduring theater. Heart-grabbing." - New York Times.

George Salazar was last seen in Joe Iconis, Lance Rubin, and Jason "SweetTooth" Williams' Broadway BounTy Hunter at Barrington Stage Company. He made his Broadway debut singing "Light of the World" in the 2011 revival of Godspell alongside Nick Blaemire. Off-Broadway, George appeared in David Byrne's hit off-Broadway immersive musical, Here Lies Love at The Public Theater and F#%King Up Everything at the Elektra Theatre. He toured North America in the second national tour of Spring Awakening. George appears on various cast recordings including Godspell, Be More Chill, Brooklyn Crush, and Moment By Moment, all available on iTunes. George's TV credits include HBO's "Divorce" as well as appearances on CBS's "Late Show With David Letterman," ABC's "The View," OWN's "The Rosie Show," "The 2012 Tony Awards" telecast and national commercial spots. As a writer, he wrote the one night Broadway sensation Glory Days (with James Gardiner), as well as the musicals A Little More Alive (Kansas City Rep, Barrington Stage), Soon (Signature Theatre) and Fallout (with Kyle Jarrow, in development). He is currently mixing a new EP of original songs. Proud University of Michigan graduate. @nickblaemire

Ciara Renée has been building a reputation as an actor fast on the rise in recent years. She starred as The Leading Player in the recent Broadway revival of Pippin.
