David Gurland/>, Steven Lutvak and Lisa Asher are among the performers who will appear at The West Bank Café's The Laurie Beechman Theatre this month and in February. 

"The Laurie Beechman Theatre has a rich tradition of presenting cutting-edge work, which has played a role in shaping American theatre and live performance. Since the 80's, the theatre has staged numerous plays and hosted a myriad of live performance events," as press materials describe the venue.

 The schedule is as follows:

The After Party
Every Friday from 10:30pm to 2am
No cover, no minimum

"We continue our weekly open-mic schmoozefest for the theatrically inclined, hosted by iron-lunged Brandon Cutrell/> and Alysha Umphress, with Ray Fellman/> at the keys and Lisa Asher behind the bar (her pour is as ferocious as her belt). Come hang and belt out a showtune or two. No cover, no minimum. Look for special guest Elizabeth Stanley/> (Broadway's Company) on Jan 19!"

Barbara Brussell
Saturday, January 20th at 7pm

"David Gurland/> kicks off the first of a six-month series. From January through June, Gurland will appear in a monthly show on the third Sunday of each month, each performance featuring a different theme. This month, David celebrates the musical with an evening of all showtunes. "
