According to Variety, Tony Award-winner Frank Langella is West End-bound as one of America's most controversial ex-presidents--Richard Nixon.

He will star in Peter Morgan's play Frost/Nixon at the Donmar Warehouse from August 10th through October 7th, while Michael Sheen will take on the other title role of British broadcaster David Frost. According to the article, the show is "a re-creation of the background to the legendary 1977 interviews between the disgraced ex-president and the celebrity interviewer." Michael Grandage (Guys and Dolls, Evita on the West End) directs.

Langella is a two-time Tony Award-winner for his work in Fortune's Fool and Seascape. Other Broadway credits include Match, Present Laughter, The Father, Hurlyburly, Dracula and A Cry of Players. He has appeared on film in Good Night, and Good Luck, Sweet November, Lolita, Junior, Masters of the Universe, the 1979 film version of Dracula, Diary of a Mad Housewife and more.

Sheen's West End credits include Look Back in Anger, Amadeus and Caligula. Film credits include The Four Feathers, Bright Young Things, Underworld, Laws of Attraction and Kingdom of Heaven..

Frost/Nixon will mark Morgan's first play. The author has previously tackled political subject matter with "The Deal," which featured Tony Blair (as played by Sheen) as one of its characters. Sheen will appear once again as Blair in his upcoming feature film The Queen, concerning the relationship between the British Prime Minister and Elizabeth II (played by Helen Mirren) as they deal with the tragic aftermath of Princess Diana's death. It will have a limited US release beginning in October.
