Six side-stitching female comedians from around the country, ranging in age from 22-72 will perform at the Ware Center on Saturday, May 2, 2015, at 7:30 p.m. The all-female lineup includes Iris Benson, Carrie Gravenson, Molly Sanchez, Sandra Risser, Leah Mansfield and Central Pa.'s own Rubi Nicholas, who each have incredible individual shows and are now coming together to tour the country as the "Sweet Six". The Ware Center is located at 42 N. Prince Street, Lancaster.

As a first generation Muslim woman of Pakistani descent, Rubi Nicholas is the antithesis of what one would expect with such a strong ethnic background. Born to a culture steeped in the tradition of the quiet, compliant female, Nicholas breaks the mold. Comedian Rubi Nicholas won Nick@Night's "Funniest Mom in America", a 6 episode nationally televised series featuring weekly eliminations based on comedic challenges, and recently appeared on NickMom Network's "Night Out" series. Also, she has been showcased alongside comedy greats, Judy Gold & Jim Breuer. Nicholas' humor incorporates her ethnic heritage, her family life and the antics of her two little girls. Her ability to weave together her story and allow the audience to experience her life, while thinking about the ways in which we can all find common ground, is a remarkable experience.

Since 2011, Iris Benson has been praised as "bleak and honest ", "pleasantly dark", "wonderfully weird" and "pretty good for a woman" by no one worth mentioning. Benson has performed all over the United States, making appearances at Comedy Festivals such as The Laughing Devil Comedy Festival (NY, NY), Trial by Laughter Competition (Indianapolis, IN), The She-Devil Festival (NY, NY), The She-Dot Festival (Toronto, ON) and the Cape Fear Comedy Festival (Wilmington, NC).

New York native, Carrie Gravenson won the 2009 New York Underground Comedy Festival's Emerging Talent Stand-Up Competition and was a runner up in 2009?s Catch a Rising Star Stand-Up Competition. She was a semi-finalist in the Ventura Comedy competition and the She Devil Comedy Contest in 2012. She produced "Disruptive Influence" and co-produced "The Tomfoolery Hour," popular monthly comedy showcases in New York City. She traveled the country with the Pink Collar Comedy Tour, which has performed in over 50 cities, and was featured in various publications and on CW San Diego 6. In 2014, she headlined at Carolines on Broadway, NYC's premier comedy nightclub, as well as other venues around the country.

Molly Sanchez is a standup comedian and improviser, whose early lack of breasts lead her to use comedy as a way to cultivate a personality. She has performed all over including Cobbs, The SF Punchline, The Comedy Store, The Shedot festival in Toronto , and the Broadway comedy club in New York.

Sandra Risser is a quick witted, vibrant comic and a dynamic speaker. Audiences are riveted when she speaks as they know she's speaking from experience and a true belief in her subject. Her overall message is life should be lived to the fullest. Her impressive credits include laugh filled performances at nationally renowned comedy clubs like the Comedy Store-Hollywood, San Francisco Punchline & Cobbs-San Francisco, Ice House-Pasadena, Jokers Comedy Club-Richland and San Jose Improv. She's featured and opened for nationally known comics such as Will Durst, Mickey Joseph, Kevin Avery, Karen Rontowski, Paula Bel, Larry "Bubbles" Brown, Huck Flyn, Andrew Norelli, Kirk McHenry, Del Van Dyke, Honest John, Dan St Paul, Butch Bradley. When people leave, they know they've seen a unique talent and that "age is just a state of mind".

From the moment pint-sized comedian Leah Mansfield takes the stage, audiences are as interested as they are impressed. Being the daughter of Native American, hippie scientists and the second of seven siblings, Leah has an endless well of anecdotal family stories. Eager to rebel against her parents, Leah became devoutly religious and joined the Air Force immediately after graduating from the University of Washington. In a master stroke of irony, she became a Nuclear Weapons Launch Officer-where her job was to not press the red button and destroy the world. After years of diligently not doing much of anything, Leah began her adventure into standup comedy. Her unique ability to couple a whirlwind of comedic energy with her original outlook on life has allowed Leah to travel across the country as a festival favorite, and feature for national headliners such as Tom Green, Jimmy Dore, and Eddie Ifft.
