Fashion Photo of the Day 5/11/13 - Lake Bell

Lake Bell is like a perfect canvas for just about anything. She's tall and beautiful with a killer figure. Why she is not on the cover of every magazine from Self to Vogue is beyond me. But that's a topic for another time. Let's just say, if I could wake up and have anyone's body, it would probably be Lake Bell's. Bell looked as effortlessly beautiful as ever at the LA premiere of Black Rock this week wearing a gold lace dress by Lyn Devon. I love this look but there are just a few styling tweaks I would like to suggest.

The dress is perfection on Bell. The cut accentuates her curves and the color enhances her bronzey skin. She could have gone with a fun messy up-to or top knot, but I do like that she kept her hair natural and wavy. My main complaint with this look, and again she looks great, is the lack of a pop. I think she could have glamed it up a little more and still kept things easy with a metallic shoe instead of the black pump. The pump feels a bit heavy for the delicate dress and I would have loved to see some fun jewelry or maybe a smokey eye and nude lip. Her makeup right now is a bit too day time and blends with her hair and skin. I would have loved to see some kind of wow besides the dress, whether it be a shoe or a bright lip or dramatic eyes. Lake - you are so gorgeous and this look is halfway there. I know you can do it!!!
