Carrie Underwood attended the Time 100 Gala last night in New York City wearing a Claire Pettibone dress. The country superstar reminded me of a modern version of a socialite friend of Lady Rose from Downton Abbey. There is something about the combination of the soft silver color mixed with the embroidered overlay. It all comes together in a feminine dress with the right amount of drama.

Fellow country singer Brad Paisley wrote in her piece in the Time 100 issue saying, "So many young girls want to be just like her. In that sense, I see hope for the world. If I had a daughter, nothing would make me happier than to hear her say she wanted to grow up to be like Carrie Underwood."
