Fashion Photo of the Day 1/13/14 - Lupita Nyong'o

There were so many wonderful dresses at last night's Golden Globes but for once picking my favorite of the evening was a no brainer. For me, Lupita Nyong'o's red Ralph Lauren dress was far and away the best dress of the evening. There were many close seconds, which I will get to as the week goes on, but for now I must bow down to Nyong'o and her unbelievable ensemble.

This dress has it all: elegance, style and drama. The color is so vivid and looked equisite against her skin tone. But it is the cut and shape of the dress that is the real stand out feature! I mean a built in cape? It is beyond beautiful and sophisticated. And Nyong'o could not have styled it better: minimal jewelry, minimal makeup and a gold clutch. She may not have won the Golden Globe but she definitely won Best Dressed for me and probably many others.
