FILTER Magazine has joined forces with the LA Branch of the renowned comedy theatre, Upright Citizens Brigade to bring for the first time a Comedy series to the international festival.
Comedy powerhouse, Upright Citizens Brigade, -home to great improv, sketch and stand-up comedy founded by Amy Poehler, Matt Besser, Ian Roberts, and Matt Walsh - will present Comedy Collide, taking place Friday and Saturday nights at 826LA during the Culture Collide festival. Ensuring a night of laughs, Comedy Collide will feature performances from UCB alums, Matt Braunger, Nick Thune, Howard Kremer, Natasha Legero, Matt Besser and more.

Comedy Collide is open to all Culture Collide wristband holders along with a suggested donation to 826LA at the door.

FILTER Magazine’s Culture Collide is a four-day international music festival taking place this October 4-7. The third annual music festival will welcome artists from 25 countries and counting, bringing their unique perspectives on music and culture to LA’s East Side for a musical melting pot of live performances, comedy showcases, and happy hours featuring food and drink from around the world. Culture Collide will once again end with its Block Party, a free all-day event in Echo Park on Sunday, October 7th. This year’s festival features performances by of Montreal, The Wombats, The Big Pink, School of Seven Bells, Zola Jesus, Niki And The Dove, Patrick Wolf, John Talabot, Dean Wareham Plays Galaxie 500, Diiv, Unknown Mortal Orchestra, Icona Pop, Penguin Prison, Bonde do Role and many other international buzzworthy artists. FILTER Magazine will set off its third annual Culture Collide international music festival (Oct. 4-7), with its official kick off party on Wed. Oct. 3. The event, held at Taix in Echo Park, will celebrate the commencement of Culture Collide and will feature DJ sets by Culture Collide artists including of Montreal’s Kevin Barnes, School of Seven Bells, Penguin Prison (live DJ set with vocals), Brothers of the Well, Panoptica Orchestra and local legend - Larry from The Underground. The first-ever Culture Collide Creative Summit, bringing together an eclectic mix of influential speakers from music, entertainment and lifestyle industries with delegates from around the world to discuss brand partnerships, record sales, touring, digital marketing strategies and more, will take place Oct. 4-5. and is open to all Culture Collide wristband holders (http://bit.ly/Ms1klY).

FILTER Magazine’s Culture Collide Festival will take place in Echo Park, at historic Los Angeles venues including The Echo, Echoplex, Taix, 826LA, The Church, Origami and Swinghouse Studios.

Limited Culture Collide festival wristbands are currently available for purchase priced at just $20 at Ticket Web. WRISTBAND PICK-UP: Starting at noon on Wed. Oct 3 through 11 pm, Culture Collide festival wristbands can be picked-up outside of Taix at the ticket booth. Culture Collide wristbands can also be picked-up between the hours of 1:00 –11:00 P.M. all other days of the festival (Oct. 4-7)
