The NY City Center Encores!'s production of FANNY will close on February 7.

The Musical Play, written by S.N. Bahrman and Joshua Logan is based on the trilogy of Marcel Pagnol. With music and lyrics by Harold Rome, the production will be directed Marc Bruni, featuring The Encores! Orchestra and musical direction by Rob Berman.

Based on Marcel Pagnol's trilogy Marius, Fanny and Cesar and set in Marseille, this 1954 musical is a classic love story - a tale of a young girl's passion for a young man so in love with the sea that he leaves her, little realizing that she is pregnant with his child. Her marriage of convenience to a wealthy older man desperate to have an heir is complicated by the sailor's return years later.

Fanny will be the 50th Encores! Production since the series began in 1994.

Tickets will range from $25-$95 and could be purchased by visiting www.nycitycenter.org, calling CityTix® at 212-581-1212 or by visiting the New York City Center box office at W. 55th St btwn 6th & 7th Aves (Mon-Sat 12-8, Sun 12-7:30)
