Elie Tahari Collection has named Amy Shecter, the former president of C. Wonder and Electric Love Army at Burch Creative Capital, as their new president.

At C. Wonder, Shecter was in charge of building a multiplatform global business from its conception and she also executed all aspects of the brand concept in retail, e-commerce and international expansion. Love Army is Burch's sportswear collection (with Kelly Cutrone) that is set to launch next year. Shecter has also served as vice president of global retail at Tory Burch; senior vice president, global retail and retail operations at Cole Haan, and vice president of retail at DKNY. She began her career at Bloomingdale's.

"There is no doubt that Amy will be a valued addition to the company, helping us to pursue our goals of international and retail growth, as well as our licensing, as the business continues to expand," said Tahari.

As Tahari celebrates its 40th anniversary, Shecter said she looks forward to continuing to develop Tahari's succesful business as well as expanding the brand's overall global presence and product offerings.

"Elie Tahari has so much opportunity for global expansion and category development. The brand still has so much upward mobility to expand and grow," said Shecter, who noted that she intends to expand the infrastructure as well.
