EDINBURGH 2017: BWW Q&A- The Waiting Game

Tell us a bit about The Waiting Game.
The Waiting Game is the story of Paolo, his comatose husband Sam, his new boyfriend Tyler, and Sam's other lover, Geoff. It's a play about intertwined relationships and how we navigate the most difficult times in our lives. The play explores relationships in the digital age, with amazing video/projection design by Broadway designer Andrew Lazarow and Lisa Jamhoury that depicts real-time online chat between Paolo and Sam-despite his coma. It's a story of loss and redemption. Why bring it to Edinburgh? What better place to debut The Waiting Game than Edinburgh? The play has a specific setting among 20- and 30-something gay friends and lovers in Washington D.C., but it tells a universal story about love and fidelity, trauma and healing. At its core are a mystery and a set of dueling truths (who is Paolo really G-chatting with?). Because people from such a diversity of paths converge at Edinburgh, we couldn't think of a more exciting place to stage The Waiting Game.Timings and ticket information for The Waiting Game are available on the edfringe website.
