Tell us a bit about Mary Go Nowhere.
Mary Go Nowhere is an absurd look at parenting a giant angry toddler during the hottest driest October in Los Angeles history.
Why bring it to Edinburgh?
Dan O'Brien, my co-producer, was in a play that won the Fringe First award in Edinburgh several years ago. He has wanted to go back ever since. Six years in LA working in TV and film have left us pining for an immersive theatre experience so it seems like now is the time.
What was the inspiration for the play?
Did you ever feel like you were doing everything you possibly could to get life right and yet you never did? People are so hard on each other and on themselves. I wanted to blow that up and take a good look at it.
Who would you recommend comes to see you?
Anyone who is interested in seeing some of the finest comic performers in the business existing in a bizarro world, or a grown man in a diaper.
Are there any other shows you're hoping to catch in Edinburgh?
As many as I can! But definitely Baby Wants Candy and Whose Line is it Anyway as I've heard they are marvellous and I have borrowed two of their actors, Chris Grace and Mike McShane, for Mary Go Nowhere.
