EDINBURGH 2017: BWW Q&A- Imaginary Radio Image

Tell us a bit about The Imaginary Radio Programme.

WELL. It's slightly hard to sum up quickly but here we go. It's a musical sketch comedy show where we make fun of American pop and political culture. We make fun of some UK stuff too but we're Americans and think mostly about ourselves and how dumb we are. We play a bunch of really embarrassing songs, disturbing commercials and absurd sketches that one might hear on the radio in the states.

Why bring it to Edinburgh?

Because we're weirdos who have a lot to say about our country but we'd rather not get into a bunch of fights with hicks who voted for Trump while we're doing it.

What sets it apart from other shows at the Fringe?

We're a bunch of professional American comedians who also have successful musical careers, so we actually know what we're doing. I do a lot of beatboxing and looping for TV shows in the states. Plus I'm bringing some very talented guest vocalists, rappers and character actors. This show has too much talent, I promise.

Who would you recommend comes to see you?

Anyone who likes really good musical comedy, sarcasm, and absurdity. If you like Flight of the Conchords, Reggie Watts, Peter Serafinowicz or Sam Simmons, you'd like this. All of whom, have been on this show, btw.

Are there any other shows you're hoping to catch at the festival?

Yes! I want to see Sam Simmons. He's a friend and complete lunatic. Always a joy to watch. My friends Natalie Palamedes and DR. Brown are also doing a show together. It's been doing really well here in LA and I'm looking forward to seeing it kill in Edinburgh.

Timings and ticket information for Imaginary Radio are available on the edfringe website.
