EDINBURGH 2017: BWW Q&A- All We Ever Wanted Was Everything

Tell us a bit about All We Ever Wanted Was Everything.
All We Ever Wanted Was Everything is a modern day epic which looks at where we've come from as a generation and where we're headed. The story follows two families over the course of twenty years, through 1997's Cool Britannia, 2007's Broken Britain and today's Brexit Britain. It's a fully scored piece of gig theatre, featuring a cast who sing, play instruments and DJ.
Why bring it to Edinburgh? Coming up to Edinburgh allows us to meet new audiences and other artists, as well as showcase some of the work that's been made as part of Hull's City of Culture year. We've had a great few years up at the Fringe recently, with Ten Storey Love Song and Weekend Rockstars and we're keen to continue that with our most ambitious show yet. For companies like ours it's a brilliant way of getting our work out there. We're lucky enough to have recently become associates of Paines Plough and we're performing in their amazing Roundabout space this year. It's our favourite space at the festival and we can't wait to fill it with noise!
Who would you recommend comes to see you? Anyone who wants theatre to be part of a banging night out.
Are there any other shows you're hoping to catch at the festival? Too many to name. We're up there as part of the Hull 2017 showcase so I'm excited to see Silent Uproar's A Super Happy Story About Feeling Super Sad, Bellow Theatre's Bare Skin On Briny Waters and Pub Corner Poet's Sad Little Man. Away from Hull, I can't wait for basically everything in Roundabout as well as Poor Michelle's Harry, Celebration by Emergency Chorus and Nabokov's Box Clever.
