World renowned New York dance and aerial company, Dzul Dance, kicks off their 10th Anniversary performance tour at the Baruch Performing Arts Center, 55 Lexington Avenue (at 25th Street) in Manhattan, on Saturday, February 9, 2013 at 8PM and Sunday, February 10th at 3PM.

The February 2013 performance features Artistic Director Javier Dzul's first choreography, An Encounter with Picasso, described by the New York Times as 'recalling Martha Graham's 'Penitente' in its conscious use of theatricalized ritual' and a preview of his upcoming choreography MEXICO MAYA. Dzul Dance fuses modern dance with aerial arts and contortion as a means to communicate Mexican and indigenous pre-Hispanic culture.

The 2013 February program features performances by Artistic Director Javier Dzul along with Dzul Dance company members Ji-Hyeun Bang, Cornelius Brown, Robin Taylor Dzul, Federico Garcia, Nicole Lichau, Orlando Martinez and Naomi Relnick. With lighting design by Mike Inwood and costume design by Javier Dzul, this diverse and eclectic group opens the doors to another dimension.

MEXICO MAYA will premiere in full during the Dzul Dance NYC season at Gerald Lynch Theater May 3-5, 2013.

Dzul Dance 2013: 10th Anniversary Performance will take place on Saturday, February 9, 2013 at 8PM and Sunday, February 10, 2013 at 3PM at the Baruch Performing Arts Center, 55 Lexington Avenue at 25th Street (Lex. & 3rd Ave.)
