Eileen Atkins, currently starring in Doubt on Broadway, will be featured this weekend on NY-1 "On Stage." The show airs Saturdays and Sundays from 9:30-10:00 AM and from 7:30-8:00 PM, as well as on Mondays from 9:30-10:00 PM and 12:30-1:00 AM.

Doubt, written by John Patrick Shanley, is the winner of the 2005 Tony Award for Best Play and the 2005 Pulitzer Prize for Drama. The production is directed by Tony Award-winner Doug Hughes.

Set against the backdrop of a Bronx Catholic school in 1964, the show is the story of a strong-minded woman faced with a difficult decision. Should she voice concerns about one of her male colleagues…even if she's not entirely certain of the truth?

The production stars Atkins as Sister Aloysius, Ron Eldard as Father Flynn, with Jena Malone as Sister James and Tony Award-winner Adriane Lenox as Mrs. Muller.

Atkins, who has appeared in many plays in London, received Tony Award nominations for her Broadway performances in The Retreat from Moscow, Indiscretions, Vivat! Vivat Regina! and The Killing of Sister George. She received a Drama Desk Award nomination for her work in The Unexpected Man and a Drama Desk Award for playing Virginia Woolf in the one-woman show A Room of One's Own.

Doubt's set design is by John Lee Beatty, costume design is by Catherine Zuber, lighting design is by Pat Collins, original music and sound design is by David Van Tieghem.

The performance schedule is Tuesday through Saturday at 8:00 PM, with matinees on Wednesday and Saturday at 2:00 PM, and Sunday at 3:00 PM.
