Showbiz411 leaked today that Academy Award-winner Dianne Wiest will join The New Group's RASHEEDA when it debuts this fall, directed by Cynthia Nixon (The Real Thing, Sex and the City).

Wiest has starred on Broadway in All My Sons, Salome, In the Summer House, Beyond Therapy, Othello, Frankenstein, Solitaire / Double Solitaire and Happy Birthday, Wanda June. She also made award-winning turns off-Broadway in Hunting Cockroaches and The Art of Dining, among many other plays.

Wiest recently appeared on the big screen in The Odd Life of Timothy Green, The Big Year and Rabbit Hole. Her small screen credits include The Blacklist, In Treatment, Law & Order and more.

Also of note, Wiest starred in Woody Allen's original film version of BULLETS OVER BROADAY, which is currently running on the Great White Way with Marin Mazzie in the role of 'Helen Sinclair'.
