Dennehy and Strong Perform At NYPL Presentation 4/7

The New York Public Library's Council of Conservators is pleased to announce an unique evening of poetry with celebrated Irish writer and theatrical producer Josephine Hart, along with Tony Award-winning actor Brian Dennehy (Death of a Salesman, dir. Robert Falls, 1999) and Olivier Award-winning actor Mark Strong (Twelfth Night, Donmar Warehouse, 2003). They will be reading selections from works by American poets Robert Frost and Robert Lowell. The event will take place at New York Public Library Humanities and Social Sciences Library South Court Auditorium (Fifth Ave at 42nd Street) on April 7, 2008. Reception starts at 6:30 followed by the reading at 7PM.

This is the first time Ms. Hart is bringing her sold-out British Library poetry evening to the United States. This program will coincide with the publication of her new book with companion CD, Catching Life by the Throat: How to Read a Poem and Why.

The Conservators Program, which directly supports the Library's Annual Fund, is a membership group of nearly 800 individuals.
