Daniel Emond's Kill The Whale, a Musical Odyssey of Moby Dick, Comes to the Caveat After penning a song about the great white whale, Daniel Emond re-read the classic Moby Dick.... several times over. What followed were others from Melville's canon and research trips to Nantucket, New Bedford, and Provincetown, all leading to the development of the double-sided record and musical film, Kill the Whale. With musical styles inspired by The Beatles' Sergeant Pepper to Beyoncé's Lemonade, join us in celebrating the EP of Kill the Whale and the first look at the pilot to the musical film.

Daniel Emond is an actor, singer and musician living in New York City. He plays the piano, banjo, clarinet, guitar, bass guitar, and ukulele (in order of diminishing proficiency). He has worked regionally across the country and most notably, he acted, sang, and played clarinet at the A.R.T. in the Broadway-bound Natasha, Pierre, and the Great Comet of 1812.

Daniel plays regularly in NYC with his bands, The Blue Eyed Bettys, Lion & Spaniel, and also performs his own solo work. He has appeared at Rockwood Music Hall, Mercury Lounge, PIANOS, The Slipper Room, Bowery Electric, Arlene's Grocery, Pete's Candy Store, The Living Room and Pine Box Rock Shop.

Daniel's EP Kill the Whale is available on Spotify, SoundCloud, Facebook and Instagram.

"Every great undertaking can feel like delusion in the beginning-as for The Whale, the seeds were planted in a late night beer and a daydream with a friend, a melodious Brooklyn bike ride the next morning, and a life-altering decision the next night. As countless humbling, skillful artists come aboard for the long haul, Every day I see more clearly Ishmael's quest in mine, though W. May not necessarily know at a given time along the way where the quest would take us or what the quest was for." - Daniel
