Dancers Over 40 Hosts 9th Annual Legacy Awards and Holiday Dinner

Dancers Over 40's last event of 2017, the 9th Annual Legacy Awards and Holiday Dinner, is its most joyous. This celebration honoring our very own members will be held on Monday, December 11th, from 6 to 9pm at LIPS Restaurant, 227 East 56th Street and will be hosted by TONY nominee Carol Lawrence (also a DO40 Advisory Board Member AND Legacy Award honoree), with live performances by Legacy Honorees Mary Jane Houdina and Ron Young, as well as consummate entertainer Sutton Lee Seymour!

Each honoree holds a special place in the world of dance and have all contributed to promoting Dancers over 40 and the History, Legacy and Lives of our community. DO40 members honored this year come from Radio City Music Hall (Leni Anders) and Broadway (Mary Jane Houdina and Ron Young) and include our first ever married (forever!) honorees Pat and Bert Michaels (Broadway, movies, you name it!). These five individuals whose careers span over 50 years in show business have worked with all the greats - Robbins, Fosse, Bennett, Champion, Gennaro, Field, Fuller and more.

Dancers Over 40 is an all-volunteer, membership-driven non-profit arts organization dedicated to preserving the History, Legacy and Lives of our mature creative community, while sharing the knowledge with the younger generation just beginning their careers. The event will be videotaped and donated to the Jerome Robbins Dance Collection at Lincoln Center's Library for the Performing Arts.
