Audiences should be prepared for anything to happen in this interactive show of raw conversation, provocations, traps, rewards, and catch-22's- encouraging risk and personal discovery.

RED BASTARD is being produced at The PIT by Christopher Pineda and Eric Davis. The show was created in New York City in 2003, and has since played critically-acclaimed, sold-out runs across North America, Europe, and Australia. It was last performed in New York City in 2010.

Eric Davis (Red Bastard) created the role of Allen Smithee in Cirque du Soleil's Iris (2011). He won the 2010 Golden Nose for Clown of the Year and was a finalist for the NY Comedy Festival's Andy Kaufman Award. He is a founder and co-director of the NY Clown Theatre Festival, and has been performing Red Bastard across the world since 2003. Credits also include Cirque du Soleil's highly-celebrated production Quidam, and developmental workshops of Cirque du Soleil's Kooza, under the direction of Tony-winner David Shiner, Ovo, and Iris. He is the award-winning director and co- writer of both The Bouffon Glass Menajoree and Kill Me Loudly: A Clown Noir. Davis has been a practitioner and teacher of improvisation, movement, Lecoq technique, and mask for over 15 years. He performs and teaches internationally.

THE PIT is dedicated to the instruction, performance, and development of original comedy. The PIT strives to entertain and educate the community about the comedic arts in a safe and nurturing environment. The PIT is composed of three elements: a school that focuses on the craft of improvisation, an eclectic variety of electives, and an unparalleled professional writing program; a theater that presents original comedic shows seven nights a week; and a corporate and educational workshop program that offers team building, leadership, and business training. http://thepit-nyc.com.
