Due to the enthusiastic response from both the actors and audiences, The Central Heating Lab at ACT is extending its free play examination series Pinter Fortnightly through June 15, 2009. The updated schedule is for the following Mondays at 7:00 p.m.:

May 18: The Caretaker, with David Drummond, Allen Galli, Peter Lohnes, and host, Ted D'Arms

June 1: Landscape and The Lover, with Richard Ziman, Leslie Law, Deb Fialkow, and Jean Sherrard

June 15: Moonlight, with Frank Corrado, Suzanne Bouchard, Elise Hunt, Tim Gouran, and others.

This series began the end of March with three planned readings. It was originally slated to end April 20, 2009 but an additional reading of two of Pinter's "political" one acts: One for the Road and Ashes to Ashes was added on May 4, 2009. True to the Central Heating Lab's philosophy, and ACT's mission, these readings invite, if not demand comment and discussion, not to mention argument. Audience participation is robustly encouraged. All readings are open to the public and free of charge. Donations are gratefully accepted.

Presented in an informal setting, without any "bells and whistles," Pinter fans can sit back and enjoy the brilliant writings of Harold Pinter, read aloud by many of this city's most prolific and respected working actors and directors. Now the Pinter-esque pleasure will continue every other Monday night (fortnightly) at 7:00 p.m. inside ACT's special events room, Buster's. The bar will be open, no advance tickets are required and seating is on a first come basis. ACT is located at 700 Union Street, Downtown Seattle. Information available by phone only at (206) 292-7676.

For the past 44 seasons, ACT's mission has been to inspire our diverse community through theatre that advances our understanding of human life. To dare, excite, and enrich artists and audiences. To steward our many resources. Through The Central Heating Lab, ACT seeks to heat things up and create a conversation with its season that reaches for an even deeper impact.

ACT gratefully acknowledges the generous support of Season Sponsors ArtsFund, ACT Foundation, The Mayor's Office of Arts & Cultural Affairs, and The Shubert Foundation, along with Producing Partners 4Culture, The Paul G. Allen Family Foundation, The Boeing Company, Microsoft Corporation, Nesholm Family Foundation, the Peg & Rick Young Foundation, and PONCHO.
