The Huffingotn Post reports that Sex and the City star Kim Cattrall has confirmed that a sequel to last summers big screen version is in the works. It was fairly expected that there would be a follow up, but this is the first time a member of the 'Sex' cast has given confirmation on the subject. Cattrall revealed the news on the UK chat fest, The Paul O'Grady Show.

The actress appeared on the program with guest-host Spice Girl Melanie Brown.

After being asked point blank, if there will be a sequel Cattrall replied, "Yes there will!" Cattrall, 52, talked more about sequel plans at Cosmopolitan's Ultimate Women of the Year Awards in London, where she received the "Ultimate Icon" honor. "The fans keep saying, 'Yes, one more,'" Cattrall told reporters.

Kim Cattrall was born on August 21, 1956, in Liverpool, England. A Golden Globe and Emmy-nominated actress, her extensive acting career has spanned film, stage and television. Cattrall gained worldwide acclaim for her portrayal of the sexy and outrageous Samantha Jones, in the HBO hit series "Sex and the City". She recreated the role for the big screen version this past summer.

Cattrall has starred in such films as "Police Academy 1", "Porky's", "Mannequin", "Masquerade", "Star Trek 6: The Undiscovered Country", John Carpenter's "Big Trouble in Little China" opposite Kurt Russell, and with Tom Hanks in Brian De Palma's "Bonfire Of The Vanities".

She made her stage debut opposite Ian McKellen in the National Theater's production of Chekhov's "Wild Honey". She has also stared in Moliere's "The Misanthrope", Strindberg's "Miss Julie", Anton Chekhov's "Three Sister's", and Arthur Miller's "A View From The Bridge".
