Casper's Stage III Community Theatre has announced its 2010-2011 season.

The season will begin with THE FARNDALE AVENUE HOUSING ESTATE TOWNSWOMEN'S GUILD DRAMATIC SOCIETY MURDER MYSTERY, a play by David McGillivray and Walter Zerlin Junior.  In this play, the women of the titular dramatic society attempt to salvage a show that goes wrong in every possible way, including falling sets and wrong sound effects.  The play will run from September 10 to September 25, 2010.

From November 5 to November 20, 2010, the theatre will present N. Richard Nash's THE RAINMAKER.  The play is a classic fable about a con man, a country girl, and the way that love can overcome cynicism in even the most tired of souls.

From January 7 to 22, 2011, the theatre will present John Peilmeier's AGNES OF GOD.  This play is an intense drama about a young nun who secretly gives birth to a baby which is later found dead.  A court-appointed psychiatrist is sent to unravel the mystery.

Larry Shue's THE FOREIGNER will run from March 4 to March 19, 2011.  This comedy revolves around a British man taking a rest in a Georgia motel.  He pretends that he can't speak English and gets embroiled in secrets and scandals freely discussed in front of him.

Frederick Knott's WAIT UNTIL DARK will run from April 22 to May 7, 2011.  This classic mystery concerns a blind woman, her young neighbor, a doll full of drugs, and the villains who will stop at nothing to get the doll back.

The season will close with BEDROOM FARCE by Alan Ayckbourn.  This comedy, concering one night, three bedrooms, and four couples, is full of misunderstandings, miscommunications, and missteps.  The production will run from June 10 to June 25, 2011.

Stage III holds a benefit performance the night before each production officially opens.  Tickets for all productions are $12 for adults and $8 for senior citizens and fulltime students.  For more information, including season ticket information and full performance schedules, visit www.stageiiitheatre.org.
