Tituss Burgess and Bradley Dean have joined the list of theatre favorites to perform at a concert to benefit ProjectExplorer. "Inspired By " will be held on Monday, Feb. 5th at 7pm at Gibson Entertainment Showroom.
Burgess (Jersey Boys, Good Vibrations) and Dean (Man of La Mancha, Jane Eyre) join Angel Desai (Company), Erin Leigh Peck (Normal), Jamison Stern (By Jeeves), and Michael Winther (Songs From An Unmade Bed). The evening will feature musical direction by Mary Mitchell-Campbell. The previously announced Aaron Lazar (Les Misérables) has withdrawn from the benefit due to a sudden schedule conflict.Proceeds from the event will go toward funding ProjectExplorer's 2007 South Africa film and multimedia project, which will introduce students globally to the Truth and Reconciliation Commission, the AIDS crisis, environmental issues, and recent global initiatives to end extreme poverty. The project will also explore the country's culture by featuring film segments on South African theatre and playwrights, dance, cuisine, clothing, music, and other unique South African traditions.Tickets are priced at $45 for General Admission/Standing Room.
