Entering its fourth year and with over one million visitors a month (and growing), BroadwayWorld.com is expanding its "insider access" via BroadwayWorld.TV including footage from the hottest shows coming to the Great White Way, as well as proprietary programming. Coming soon to BroadwayWorld.TV, audiences will get backstage videos, interviews, special features, video blogs and more!

Just as television has provided more and more opportunities for fans to "reach out and touch" celebrity via the national morning show signfests, reality/game show programming and interactive activities for shows such as "Lost," "American Idol" and "The Apprentice," BroadwayWorld's goals are similar. For example, it's "Theater Fans' Choice Awards," the online award program that lets the audience recognize who and what was the best in the 2005/6 New York theater season, begins balloting May 16.

The site's audience also benefits from BroadwayWorld's non-stop accessibility -- whether receiving "Jekyll & Hyde" news from Seoul at 4:00 AM or exclusively breaking the news about Rosie O'Donnell heading to "The View" pre-media announcement. The site bursts with scoops and news round the clock, delivering it to its faithful fans – from stage door devotees in Manhattan and Montreal to wistful "wanna-sees" in Wichita and Warsaw.

BroadwayWorld.com founder, 26-year businessman and theater-enthusiast Robert Diamond, created the site as a living, breathing, highly-interactive gathering place for theater aficionados worldwide.

With the ticket prices for Broadway growing steeper all the time, the site enables all passionate theater lovers a free way to bask in Broadway by sharing breaking news, views, reviews and photo content with others of their kind as well as educating them and helping them make decisions as to how to spend their hard-earned theater dollar.

BroadwayWorld.com engages a 'by the people, for the people' approach to news-gathering and reporting. The site "employs" a tenacious staff of 50 reporters and photographers updating the site continuously with local, national and international theater news, reviews, videos, photos and mores.

Guiding the launch of BroadwayWorld.TV and heading up the multimedia content on both sites will be Craig Brockman, the site's former Senior Editor and newly appointed Multimedia Editor. "We have some really incredible multimedia programming headed for both sites over the next year," said Brockman."Our video show previews have proven to be overwhelmingly popular - garnering over a million streams in less than a year and there's lots more on the way."

"BroadwayWorld.com offers an egalitarian, 'for the love of theater' approach," says Diamond, "We're not about selling tickets…we're about satisfying multiple generations of theater-goers and giving fans and professionals a way to connect with each other and with their favorite topics."

The visitors to this active web site have proven to be the full age-range from teens and pre-teens to the much-revered senior citizens who have witnessed dramatic changes in theater, musicals and the industry in general.
