The San Gabriel Valley Music Theatre (SGVMT), a newly formed not-for-profit producing organization which launched its first Broadway season with The Sound of Music during November, 2006 at the San Gabriel Valley Civic Auditorium (Mission Playhouse), will present "The Music of Andrew Lloyd Webber."  The show, featuring Broadway musical theatre stars Christina Saffran Ashford, Michael G. Hawkins, Dale Kristien, Norman Large and Robert Torti, will be presented on January 20, 2007 for one night only.

"After a five year absence of any Broadway series at the San Gabriel Civic Auditorium and almost two years of fund raising by The San Gabriel Valley Music Theatre, "The Music of Andrew Lloyd Webber" is a perfect follow-up to our success with The Sound of Music," said John Peters, Executive Producer of the SGVMT.  "Our creative team for this production includes Artistic Director Bill Shaw, Choreographer Rikki Lugo and Musical Director Ed Martel.  Additionally, we are proud to maintain an extraordinary Board of Directors headed by President Mary Cammarano, former Mayor of San Gabriel," Peters went on to say.

Mary Cammarano added "Collectively, we cannot begin to thank residents of the San Gabriel Valley, San Fernando Valley and the greater Los Angeles metropolitan area for supporting the San Gabriel Valley Music Theatre in bringing Broadway back to the historic and exquisitely beautiful San Gabriel Civic Auditorium.  We are honored to be recognized and, more importantly, we are grateful to be so graciously rewarded by our patrons."

The evening will feature selections from such timeless musicals as Evita, The Phantom of the Opera, Cats and many more.

The San Gabriel Civic Auditorium (Mission Playhouse) is located at 320 South Mission Drive, San Gabriel, CA.  Ticket prices follow: terrace boxes: $60; orchestra I: $40; orchestra II: $30; orchestra III and balcony: $20.
