Broadway Legends James Naughton & Keith David Co-Star In NPR Kids' Podcast

Two Broadway legends have joined forces to tell a whimsical tale about what can happen when you become your own personal MacGyver.

Two-time Tony Award winner James Naughton (City of Angels, Chicago) and Tony Award nominee Keith David (Jelly's Last Jam) co-star in "The King and the Cobbler," the newest episode from Circle Round: the acclaimed children's podcast from WBUR, Boston's NPR news station.

"The King and the Cobbler" is about a powerful king (David) who doesn't know what it means to rely on oneself, until a clever cobbler (Naughton) teaches an invaluable lesson about independence and innovation.

Circle Round adapts classic folktales into radio plays for listeners aged 3-103, replete with original music and sound design, and notable performers from the stage and screen playing the lead roles. Other celebrity stars have included Jason Alexander, Kathryn Hahn, Taran Killam, Jon Cryer, Sela Ward, Miriam Shor and Kathleen Chalfant, with upcoming performances by Richard Kind, Ed Asner, Max Casella and Billy Porter.
