Venezuelan/Argentinean New Yorker, Bárbara Martínez has been singing and dancing traditional flamenco for two decades. Her new musical project began with a sold-out evening at Carnegie' s Weill Hall.
It is a musical fusion true to her passionate flamenco roots, her tango heritage and influences of Latin Jazz growing up in New York City. The Philadelphia Inquirer called her voice "achingly beautiful" and The New York Times said she makes "something fresh of the Latin style."
Bárbara has danced with the Metropolitan Opera and recently appeared in the documentary "Sobre Las Olas - A Story of Flamenco in the U.S."
