Brian D'Arcy James and more will star in The Cartells, Douglas Carter Beane's "Primetime Soap...Live."  Presented in four parts by Comix and the Drama Dept., The Cartells will be performed at Comix (353 W. 14th St. at 9th Ave.) on October 16th, 23rd, 30th and November 6th at 8 PM.

The Cartells, featuring D'Arcy James (Sweet Smell of Success, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels), Dylan Baker, and David Rakoff as well as Drama Dept. company members and celebrity guest stars, is about "a wealthy oil family having too much fun in an Aaron Spelling kind of way," according to Comix notes on the theatrical soap opera, which is by the author of As Bees in Honey Drown and the Broadway-bound The Little Dog Laughed.  It will be directed by Carl Andress.

The episodes are: "The Eye of the Needle," "Far Above Rubies," "Perish the Sword" and "Cast a Stone."
