Bay Street Players Host Auditions For PHANTOM 12/14

By:

Bay Street Players will hold auditions for the American musical sensation, Phantom on Monday, December 6th and Tuesday, December 14th at 7:30PM at 109 N. Bay Street, Eustis. Artistic Director David Clevinger is looking for 2 females and 6 males for lead, character and supporting roles, ages 20-50. Vocal ranges needed for these roles are baritone / bass baritone for men and mezzo / soprano for women. There is also a need for additional performers to complete the cast of 20+. Newcomers are welcome. Those auditioning are requested to prepare a musical selection, preferably in the style of the production, and to bring sheet music in their key. An accompanist will be provided. In addition, some may be asked to read selections from the script. Anyone not interested in performing on stage is invited to join our team of volunteers and to learn of backstage opportunities needed for this production.

Based on the 1910 novel "The Phantom of the Opera", Tony Award-winning authors, Arthur Kopit and Maury Yeston of Broadway's Nine and Titanic, have fashioned a sensational new look at the mysterious young Phantom living in the catacombs of the Paris Opera House, who shares glorious music with an enchanting vocal prodigy. Filled with fascinating characters and plot twists- this Phantom will capture your heart.

Phantom is generously sponsored in part by Bowen Radson & Schroth, United Arts of Central Florida, and the City of Eustis. Please contact the theatre at (352) 357-7777 or visit the web site at www.baystreetplayers.org for directions or for further information.

Bay Street Players is a 501 (c) 3 non-profit community theatre celebrating 35 seasons of live theatre in the historic 1922 State Theatre in downtown Eustis.
