Ars Nova continues the third season of its acclaimed Broadway Spotlight series with Avenue Q's Barrett Foa. Join Foa for an eclectic evening of songs ranging from pop/rock to musical theater – a healthy dose of unpretentious and rockin' music with direction by Christopher Gattelli and musical direction by Tom Kitt. Also with Courtney Balan, Damien Bassman, Roger Butterly, Randy Landau and Jason Robinson. Monday, December 6th at 8 PM at Ars Nova (511 West 54th Street, just west of 10th Ave.).

Barrett Foa is currently on Broadway in the cast of Avenue Q, understudying the lead role of Princeton/Rod, which he has performed over 50 times. New York credits include: Mamma Mia! (Orig. B'way cast); Godspell (2000 cast recording, "Jesus"); and Cupid and Psyche ("Cupid"). Regional credits include: "Claudio" in Much Ado About Nothing (Hartford Stage; The Shakespeare Theatre in D.C., dir. Mark Lamos); "Mordred" in Camelot (Paper Mill Playhouse); world premiere of Henry Krieger and Bill Russell's Kept (TheatreWorks, CA); American premiere of Cameron Mackintosh's Just So (North Shore Music Theatre); The Fantasticks (St. Louis Muny); Gypsy (Weston Playhouse, VT); Children of Eden; and The Sound of Music (Music Theatre of Wichita).

Christopher Gattelli most recently Co-directed and choreographed the Actor's Fund Benefit Concert of Hair. Credits include: Bat Boy The Musical (2001 Lucille Lortel Award Outstanding Choreography), John and Paul (New Victory Theater), Godspell (national tour), Moon of the Caribbees (Flea Theater), Leprechauns (Wings Theater). TV: "2000 Tony Awards," "The Rosie O'Donnell Show" and "Out of the Box" (Disney Channel).

Tom Kitt's (Musical Director) is currently working on Broadway as musical director, arranger, conductor and pianist for Laugh Whore. Broadway musical direction and conducting credits include: Urban Cowboy, Bombay Dreams, An Evening With Mario Cantone, Nothing Like a Dame, Caroline's on Broadway's 20th Anniversary, Lincoln Center Songbook. Off-Broadway: Debbie Does Dallas, Dream a Little Dream, Showstopper, For the Love of Tiffany, It's Only Life: The Songs of John Bucchino, Making Tracks, Dog Sees God. Kitt is also the leader of the Tom Kitt Band (www.tomkittband.com), whose debut album Find Me includes songs that have been featured on "Dawson's Creek" and the feature film "The Two Ninas." In 2004, Kitt received a grant from the Jonathan Larson Foundation for his original musical, Feeling Electric, and he is currently composing the score for the musical High Fidelity with Amanda Green and David Lindsay-Abaire.

Broadway Spotlight brings bright new stars of the Great White Way to the intimate 99-seat theater at Ars Nova (511 West 54th Street). Curated by Gordon Greenberg, this season's Broadway Spotlight kicked off with Jesse Tyler Ferguson (The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee). Last season's guests included Max von Essen (Dance of the Vampires), Ann Harada (Avenue Q), Celia Keenan-Bolger (The Light in the Piazza) and John Tartaglia (Avenue Q). This wildly successful monthly event has previously hosted Broadway notables such as Felicia Finley, Anthony Rapp, Idina Menzel, Julia Murney and Billy Porter.
